documenting the day that two become one . . .
Your wedding day will move quickly, and so much of what makes it meaningful happens between the obvious moments. My approach to weddings is documentary at heart. I give you space to be fully present with the people you love while quietly preserving the emotions, relationships, details, and little pieces of the day you may not even realize are happening until you look back.

documentary-led, not documentary-only
A wedding photographer has a very intricate task set before them when they enter a couple’s big day. They need the skillset and experience to move seamlessly between a variety of scenarios including helping the couple pose naturally but beautifully, family dynamics and managing group situations, capturing details with care, working with a tight timeline, and handling challenging lighting scenarios. These are only to name a few, but it emphasizes the need to hire someone who can check the boxes that allows you to enjoy your day not being worried about being able to look back on it with fondness.
my approach
Keeping my eyes sharp and paying attention helps me to capture the moments that inevitably happen without prompting. There are many relationships that make every couple’s day meaningful and sneaking connection amongst your guests is one way to remember those moments. You deserve to look back on beautiful, intentional photographs and moving films of the day you become one with the people you love.
While I use natural light as much as possible, there is always the possibility of scenarios where having the skillset of professional lighting comes in handy. There are so many factors that can inhibit beautiful photography if the lighting isn’t right. That’s where my lighting equipment has a chance to shine. If lighting is lacking due to unexpected weather or poorly lit receptions, you can rest assured that you will still have your memories captured well.
surprise proposals & engagements
Planning a surprise proposal? I'll help you preserve the anticipation, the reaction, and everything that happens immediately after. Whether you're planning something quiet and intimate or a little more elaborate, I'll photograph the story discreetly so you can be fully present when the moment arrives.
Engagement sessions are available as well. They’re a great opportunity to slow down, spend some time together, and create lasting memories that feel like the two of you before the wedding day arrives.

we might be a good fit if . . .
-
Your day should be stress-free and as magical as possible. In my experience, this only happens when a couple’s priorities are aligned with the thought process that there’s so many more important things in our lives than one day going perfectly.
Couples that understand this seem to have the most joyous weddings. They are low-key, kind, and absolutely in love. If that describes you, we’re going to get along just fine!
-
Human emotions are beautiful, all of them. I will always gently guide poses for you in the appropriate setting, but your raw feelings in any given moment are a priority to me while doing so. I will probably tell you to fake a belly laugh with your wedding party or give you silly recommendations like “kiss with your teeth”, but that’s only because little tricks like these usually result in genuine expressions that are priceless. If you can trust me and my wild ideas, you’re going to see the real you in your memories and hopefully be able to look back and remember how each moment felt.

Documentary photography requires paying attention to the many opportunities that present themselves when any number of people come together. Your loved ones are a priority to you, so they are a priority to me.
-
This day is not about me, it’s about you and your new spouse. I am a quiet presence ready to help you look back on your day with fondness, not to be another stressor on your plate.
-
A wedding day doesn’t come with any redos. Your memories of your day should stand the test of time and be something you can look back on 50 years from now celebrating how far you’ve come.

FAQs
Do you travel?
1
Yes, I am open to traveling! Travel costs will be added to the starting at prices. Please reach out if you’d like a quote range for where your wedding is taking place if outside of Houston, TX area.
How many hours of coverage do your collections include?
2
I have various coverage options available based on hours. For four hours of coverage — ideal for very small ceremonies or elopements — photography begins at $2,000. My coverage is available for up to 10 hours in a single day.
Do you work with a second photographer?
3
Yes, I typically include a second shooter at my weddings, but the actual need depends on the wedding. In order to make sure every detail possible is captured for such an important day with so many moving parts of larger weddings, a second shooter can be vital. If you do not want a second photographer or it turns out it would not be necessary for your specific day, we can discuss this.
Can I book you for photography and film together?
4
Yes. Depending on what you’d like me to focus more on, I will have a second photographer/filmmaker with video experience to make sure we capture based on your preferences. If you want comprehensive, simultaneous photo and video coverage of every part of your wedding day, I recommend hiring a dedicated videography team. For couples who want film as a complementary layer alongside their photography, my combined option can be a wonderful fit.
How long does it take to get our gallery back?
5
I provide sneak peeks within 48 hours of your day concluding and your full gallery within 6 weeks. Films may take up to 8 weeks to receive back.
Do you photograph rehearsal dinners?
6
Absolutely! This can be a fun add-on. Usually everyone’s relaxed during a rehearsal dinner and it can be a great opportunity to capture candids of you and your loved ones making their final preparations for your special day.
I recommend reaching out as soon as you have your date. Because I also photograph child births, my calendar can include periods of on-call availability that extend up to six weeks. If a birth and wedding date overlap, the client that hired me first takes priority. I discuss this openly with every wedding and birth couple before booking so you can make an informed decision about whether I'm the right fit.
How far in advance should we book?
7
Do you offer engagement sessions?
8
Yes! These are included in all of my wedding packages. I am also available for booking just an engagement session.
