Photography is deeply personal for me. I’ve been fascinated by the idea of time travel for as long as I can remember (huge Outlander fan over here). While we can’t actually time travel, I like to think photography is the closest thing we have. I want to capture photographs that let us step back into the moments that mattered. The ordinary Tuesday. The newborn days that felt like they’d last forever. The people we loved at different stages of our lives. The beginning of something new. On the hardest days, I want to glance at the photographs on my wall and remember the life we are building together. I want to always remember that the good outweighs the bad.
Nearly fifteen years ago I became a wife, two years later a mama, and not long after that I picked up my first “fancy” camera. What started as a creative outlet slowly became one of the greatest joys of my life.
Since then, my husband (my childhood crush, and still someone I'm not entirely sure how I landed) and I have added three more children to the mix. Our family life is wonderfully full with homeschooling, animals, baseball, 4-H, theater, music, dance, and all the ordinary chaos that comes with raising four humans.

I live on three acres outside Houston with my husband, four kids, and our assortment of animals
We're a homeschool family
I'm rarely sitting still
I will probably ask you to move approximately three inches to the left because I saw something with better light
what it’s like to be photographed by me
I will probably talk to you like we've known each other longer than five minutes. I'll give you direction when you need it, leave you alone when you don't, and pay attention to the little things you might not notice yourself.
I want you to walk away feeling like you had a genuinely good experience, and not like you spent an hour performing for a camera.

Experiencing both hospital and home birth myself deepened my respect for the strength, vulnerability, and sacredness of bringing a baby into the world. That perspective continues to shape the way I photograph mothers and families.
In recent years, our family has been on a deeper spiritual journey, one that’s drawn us into the rich, ancient rhythms of the Eastern Orthodox Church. We have finally found a faith home that feels timeless and whole.
I don’t want to just give you photographs; I want to give you a way to go back.
