After having the honor of documenting their baby’s birth, it was so special to return and capture this next chapter of life at home as a family.

This in-home newborn session was calm, cozy, and full of those quiet moments that make this season so meaningful. There’s something so special about photographing families in their own space, where everything is familiar and comfortable, allowing the focus to remain on connection and new beginnings.

Their baby settled so sweetly into the rhythm of the session, and it was clear how much love surrounded this new little life. One of my favorite parts of the session was including their German Shepherds, who were already such an important part of the family dynamic. Watching them gently adjust and stay close by made the session feel even more complete.

Newborn sessions like this are less about perfection and more about preserving these fleeting early days. There are endless moments involving tiny details, some quiet moments, and the way life begins to shift as a family grows.

It was such a joy to continue telling their story and to capture this beautiful season as they welcomed their baby home.
