Senior Session Throwback | Apple Valley, CA

I recently revisited some images from a senior session I shot back in 2016 in my hometown in Apple Valley CA. These photos were among the first professional images I ever captured, and going back through them after re-editing was a blast!

Senior sessions like these are all about capturing personality, style, and the unique energy of this exciting stage of life. At the time, I focused on creating natural, authentic images that highlighted the individuality of my subject. Revisiting them now, I can see that effort paid off in timeless portraits.

Re-editing these images also allowed me to give them new life while keeping the spirit of the session intact. It’s always fun to look back on early work and reflect on the journey — from the early days of learning lighting and posing to where I am now as a photographer.

I’m grateful for sessions like this, which laid the foundation for my photography career and reminded me why I love capturing milestones in people’s lives.
